Counselling to manage feelings of anxiety and depression involves providing a safe, supportive space to explore your feelings and develop healthy coping strategies. Our sessions focus on helping you regain balance, confidence, and emotional well-being.
This process supports you in making sense of what you’re experiencing and gaining tools you can use beyond sessions — with compassion, insight, and self-respect.
What Counselling Is Not
Wellness counselling is not a clinical assessment, diagnosis, or medical treatment for psychiatric disorders such as major depressive disorder or anxiety disorders. If at any point your experience suggests you may benefit from clinical or psychiatric evaluation, I will support you in connecting with appropriate professionals.
If you often feel overwhelmed by worry or tension, struggling with feeling low, tired or low motivation, restless, or find it hard to cope with stress or emotional responses, or seeking to build practical coping strategies and personal insight, counselling can help.
Speaking to a counsellor offers you the chance to share your feelings without fear of judgement, allowing for a sense of relief, and they can help to identify tools to manage your emotions more effectively.
Yes. Online counselling allows you to receive support to manage feelings of anxiety and depression from the comfort of your home—anywhere in South Africa. It’s confidential, flexible, and just as effective as in-person sessions.
Everyone’s journey is unique. Some clients begin to notice positive changes after 1 or 2 sessions, while others need more sessions. What matters most is your commitment to the process and your willingness to explore what’s happening beneath the surface.
In your first session, we’ll focus on understanding your experiences, current challenges, and goals. You’ll have the space to talk freely in a safe, non-judgmental environment while we begin identifying ways to support your well-being.
